Armen Hakhverdian is universitair hoofddocent politicologie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Hij doet onderzoek naar politieke vertegenwoordiging, publieke opinie en ongelijkheid. Hij schreef samen met Wouter Schakel het boek 'Nepparlement? Een pleidooi voor politiek hokjesdenken' (2017, Amsterdam University Press) over ongelijke vertegenwoordiging in Nederland.
